ZWAP Social Network - Revolutionizing Online Networking

Zwap social network is dedicated to professional networks. Sorry for the word pun!

In the following article we will be having a brief informal Q&A session with Lorenzo Vacca. He is a very young Italian man with extraordinary capabilities and, most importantly, one of the founders of the ZWAP startup.

Lorenzo shares a background in international relations and intelligence analysis and uses this particular know how also to analyze the upgrades of their creation.

But first of all, what is ZWAP and what does it mean?

Let’s ask Lorenzo directly, he will explain it better than anyone.

So, Lorenzo would you tell me how you guys came up with the idea of founding Zwap? How this project aims to develop in the near future?

First of all, I need to tell you something that might disappoint some of your readers. It’s a funny story. The word “Zwap” means nothing. It’s just a made-up word that came to our mind during a meeting. One of the last meetings before launching the actual project on the net the founders gathered, it was during the first lockdowns of the COVID19 pandemic.

One of us was saying something and in the middle of a sentence he stopped and said: “let’s pretend we will call it- I don’t know- ZWAP”. From that moment on the “placeholder” became the actual name.

The main idea of Zwap as a networking platform actually began during the pandemic.

The will of our generation to constantly look for new connections not only a social state of fact but also a huge resource for us.

When we found ourselves studying and working from three different countries during the pandemic lockdown, we started suffering the obstacles for networking. Therefore, we figure that we needed to mix our networks through mutual introductions and exchange of knowledge on our different backgrounds. Getting closer to a second wave of lockdowns we structured this initiative and launched Zwap.

We expanded the platform asking Zwappers to invite who they deemed to be interesting and engaged in networking. Today we reached more than 2000 zwappers using this strategy. This strategy helped us to maintain quality and trust within the network. It is a very important feature for most users.

How does Zwapping work? How can the AI find the right match for each participant?

Yes, you said it, making plans is hard for our generation. It is hard even in regular times, but now, in this post pandemic world, thing aren’t going any better. We have to be positive and constantly adapt to the challenges of the future. Our team is naturally inclined to rapid adaptation and this is exactly what we do in Zwap daily.

In one year, time I think that I would like to see our project as a referral point for networking in Italy and later on, moving to other countries would be great.

Things move fast on the net, but they require good strategy and constant management.

We will do our best and work on partnerships and sponsors to help boost up the progress. We are currently trying to to solve some technical issues to launch some amazing news about the platform. We cannot spoil anything at this stage so stay tuned.
